Terms of Service
Last updated: August 15, 2026
UPrep Advising operates UPrep ("UPrep," "we," "us"). These Terms of Service explain what to expect when you work with us.
1. Who these terms are for
These terms apply to anyone who books a session, workshop or package with UPrep ("we," "us"), and to the parent or guardian who books and pays on a student's behalf. Booking a service means agreeing to these terms, for both the person paying and the student receiving the service.
2. What UPrep provides
UPrep provides guidance, strategy sessions, application feedback, resume help, mock interviews and workshops for high school students preparing for university. UPrep is not a tutoring company and doesn't provide subject specific instruction. For Application Review specifically, the student stays the author of everything submitted. UPrep gives feedback, brainstorming and editing suggestions only, and doesn't write or submit any application material on a student's behalf.
3. Booking and payment
Services are booked and paid for individually, at the price shown at the time of booking. Payment is handled by a third party payment provider. UPrep doesn't store your full card details. You'll get an email confirmation once payment goes through.
4. Cancellations and rescheduling
You can reschedule or cancel a session up to 24 hours before it's scheduled to start, for a full credit toward a future booking. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before a session, or missed sessions, aren't eligible for a refund or credit. For packages and the 5 workshop pass, unused sessions can be rescheduled, but the package itself isn't refundable once the first session has been used.
(This is a suggested starting policy, not a confirmed one.)
5. No guaranteed outcomes
UPrep provides guidance, strategy and feedback to help you present the strongest possible application. Admissions decisions are made solely by universities, based on many factors outside UPrep's control. UPrep doesn't guarantee admission to any university, program or scholarship, and no one working with UPrep can promise a specific outcome.
6. Working with minors
Most UPrep clients are high school students under 18. Where the client is a minor, a parent or guardian books the service, agrees to these terms, and receives administrative communication like confirmations and receipts. Session content and feedback go to the student. UPrep only collects what's needed to deliver the service, see the Privacy Policy for details.
7. Testimonials and your information
UPrep will never publish a testimonial, story or identifying detail about a student without the explicit written consent of the parent or guardian, and the student where appropriate.
8. Acceptable use
Sessions, reviews and workshop materials are for your own personal use. Please don't record, redistribute or resell UPrep's materials or session content without asking first.
9. Limitation of liability
UPrep provides guidance and feedback in good faith, but final decisions, submissions and outcomes are the student's and the relevant university's responsibility. To the extent the law allows, UPrep's liability for any claim tied to a service is limited to the amount paid for that specific service.
10. Changes to these terms
UPrep may update these terms from time to time. The version posted here, with its last updated date, is the one that applies.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada that apply in Ontario.
