The story behind UPrep.

Hasham Ahmad comes from humble origins with an immigrant background, having studied across three countries: Pakistan, Malaysia, and Canada. Throughout his primary and secondary education, he often lacked the guidance needed to succeed. He felt lost, and didn't always know what to do next.

But being without a roadmap taught him how to build one. Through perseverance, initiative, and a willingness to figure things out for himself, Hasham achieved tremendous success in applying to Canadian universities, earning admission into top Canadian universities including the University of Toronto, the University of Waterloo, and Wilfrid Laurier University, among many others. He's now a BBA student at the Schulich School of Business, York University.

The same drive that transformed his own journey soon became a drive to help others transform theirs. In high school, Hasham worked across several organizations and non-profits, driving impact on regional, national, and international levels. He's had the privilege of mentoring, guiding, and training thousands of students from coast to coast, across business, economics, social service, and technology.

And he refused to let ambition come at the expense of excellence. While maintaining a high caliber of extracurriculars across multiple different industries, Hasham also maintained a 4.0 GPA and was awarded his secondary school's Honours Business Award for academic excellence in business studies.

His journey eventually took him from being a student in the audience to becoming a voice on the stage. Hasham has spoken as a TEDx speaker, sharing his experiences and perspectives with audiences while continuing his broader work of empowering and guiding young people.

That same standard carried into his career. Professionally, Hasham has worked with multiple companies. Because of his expertise, he went from a Grade 11 co-op student to Internship Program Manager by the start of Grade 12. He was promoted to a full employee of his placement company, then joined their management team, directly mentoring and teaching young talent. He is now a business partner at Auraviq, Inc.

None of it has gone unnoticed. Hasham has been recognized across multiple platforms for his achievements and impact.

All of these experiences have shaped who he is today: a seasoned student leader, and the founder, operator, and builder of a national non-profit. He's now the CEO & Lead Mentor at UPrep, Canada.
